Christina asked: I have bout 7 weeks left until the baby is born! And I really like the name Nicholas, but I can’t find a middle name that goes good with Nicholas & my last name, Smith. I like baby names that are different, that you don’t hear all the time! Please help if you have any ideas. I love the name Nicholas. And, yes I am having a boy. Thanks.

kimandryan2008 asked: Does anyone know if there is a baby name website that lists the different variations some names have, like Marie for Mary? I know a lot of names have different variations based on spelling and language, I’m just wondering where I can find this information.
Thank you!

lyricaldream asked: My hubby and I have decided that we are no longer going to tell our family and friends any of our name choices. I have shared a few ideas with friends and family only for them to critisize so we have decided no one gets to know our baby names until baby is born and we have picked his or her name. Has anyone else done this?

Meredith asked: I am having a baby girl (according to ultrasound) in November, and once again, am completely lost in narrowing down my search for names. There is a fine line between unique and weird…and I don’t want anything too common. Also, every name I come up with, my parents don’t like, and although I know it’s not their decision, It would be nice for them to like the name too. Should I care? Thanks!

dark scar asked: If you have none, just a site that lists some.
Note: I DON’T want male baby names popular in Swedan NOW. Got to be in the early 70s.
Also, if you have any common* Swedish surnames, that would also help a lot!!
*common in the early 70s.

ᵐᶤᵗᵗ ᶰᵃᵐᶰ äʳ [ᶜʰᵉˡˢᵉᵃ ˢᵐᶤˡᵉ]™ asked: I know there are quite a few baby name answerers that also write stories in their off time. These questions are mostly meant for you guys.
1. Would you ever name your child a name that you used for a character, first or middle name?
2. Are the kind of names you use for characters different than your favourites for actual children [more popular, more unusual, etc.]?
3. Your favourite name for a boy or a girl?
4. Your favourite male and female character name you’ve ever used.
Thanks!

Dexter is Delicious asked: What baby name do you wish would disappear from use?
Personally I wish the name Nevaeh would completely disappear. Every time I hear it it makes me cringe.
