  17. I ❤ A Good Name Says:

What exactly are you picky about? Is it giving the baby a stereotypical Mexican name? Like Maria Guadalupe? There are many Spanish names that have made the top 100. I know they are bit boring now, but maybe considering the culture to draw inspiration for names isn’t a bad idea. For example, the names Sofia, Isabella, Olivia, are Spanish in origin. So you have many options for your daughter. Madrid isn’t a hard last name to work with, and if the baby is not going to be raised in any Hispanic fashion or even bilingual then you can name her whatever you want. Here are some suggestions.

    –Eliana Madrid
    –Giselle Madrid
    –Caroline Madrid
    –Selena Madrid
    –Athena Madrid
    –Juliana Madrid
    –Elaine Madrid
    –Violet Madrid

I will be honest, your question was very off putting. The part when you say “despite the last name” Your daughter should be proud of her last name, of her father and his heritage. If you refer to her ethnicity in that way, it’s like you are discouraging her from being proud of where she comes from. So, I am really not meaning to offend, but I am Hispanic, and somewhat take offense when references like the one in your question is made. Sorry, I couldn’t help more, you weren’t that specific about what you were picky about. I ❤ A Good Name
